Founder's Devil Dancer Triple IPA

Postby O.J. » Wed Jul 20, 2011 12:47 pm

Has anyone tried this? Woodman's has it for $18 a 4-pack, so it would be nice to hear that it is phenomenal before I take the plunge. It gets a solid score from Beer Advocate, but it has its detractors.

The Devil Dancer is in the Madison market as of this week. It is priced the same as Founders KBS, it is just as not well known. This is a triple IPA, dry-hopped for twenty-six days straight with a combination of 10 hop varieties. It was bottled on 06/01/12. This is a perfect beer to age. Madison should have received 240 bottles, so they will be gone soon. This year we started selling them by the single bottle as well as the four pack. Drink some soon.

Oh yeah, it's 12% ABV....

Cheers!

That certainly quenched my bitter tastebuds. I'd grab another 4-pack to age, but I just don't have the discipline.

My wife wasn't crazy about Frootwood from an earlier tasting I enjoyed my 15 oz. of Dancer and 5 oz of Doom immensely.

I'm usually not a fan of fruity beers, but like that one. Finished up with a Doom. Excellent beer, but I stocked up on bottles recently, so it wasn't first on my list.

Grabbed a half-growler each of Doom and DD. Only one of them made it through the night. And it's survival outlook for today is grim.
