Connect with your colleagues at the UW-Madison

Postby Trogger » Wed Apr 04, 2012 7:47 pm

Connect with your colleagues at the University of Wisconsin-Madison!

We are academic staff, classified employees, faculty, graduate students, and post graduates (post doctoral students, research associates, etc.) working on campus, who get together to share our work experiences, current research, and institutional knowledge -- and relax, too!

UW-Madison is large and expansive, spanning 935 acres along the southern shore of Lake Mendota, with over 200 departments, programs, and centers, and it's difficult to connect with other staff members across the university.

We meet on campus (at the Memorial Union, Union South, Arboretum, Lakeshore Nature Preserve, Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, etc.) or off-campus, and anyone can suggest a meetup.

Have an urge to head to the Terrace after work? Make it a meetup! Going to a presentation or event? Giving a tour or lecture for a general university audience? Include people through a meetup! Have an innovative idea and want to brainstorm and don't know how to reach out across campus? Try a meetup. Want to go for a hike in the Arboretum? Invite your colleagues. Just angling to do something fun over the weekend? Make it a meetup! It is up to members to make use of this site.

Join Us!

Well there ya go. Ned thinks it's dumb to meet your coworkers.

Better that nobody knows each other. It's easier to bust unions and nickel and dime 'em to death that way.
