Sorry. I'm having trouble finding the humor in a collateral damage victim's state of denial being broadcast to the world.

Collateral damage? Sad? I have to disagree. She is culpable. She is not collateral damage - she inflicted damage and she knows it, too.

There is no way in hell she didn't know. She chose to turn a blind eye and let her husband carry on. In exchange for . . . what? I'm guessing it was in exchange for the wealth and cachet that went along with her husband's position. Maybe she convinced herself that it really wasn't all that bad for the boys involved, that they were getting more help than hurt, in the overall scheme of things. Or maybe she just didn't care. In any event, she clearly didn't care as much about those boys as she cared about herself. Collateral damage, my ass.

Probably not so much gullible as trying to protect herself from the inevitable civil suit. If she didn't know anything she is just another victim- if she did she is also responsible.

Hmm, if the accusations against the coach were true, no doubt he used his cunning in 'grooming' the victims on his wife as well. If you call this woman gullible, how about those victims who was sexually assaulted not once but for a period of years (in a place they had a choice to visit or not?) I am not taking the side of the the accused here, just expressing my disagreement with generalization and labeling.
