Here is the diner I frequented when I was a kid in the 50s/60s.

The Port Silver Diner was located on Port Washington Road in Glendale, WI. Sadly it was torn down for a more ritzy development.

Was this the one on Port Road and Henry Clay, that later became something like the Iron Horse?

Yes, it was at 5260 N. Port Washington Rd. It might have become the Iron Horse, but I don't remember. The site was lated developed into the Nordell? Cadillac dealership. Something like that. Another dealership took over later. Don't know what is there now, as I don't get back to that neck of the woods very often.

Across the street and a block or so closer to Silver Spring Dr. was the Milky Way Drive-In, which is the inspiration for Arnold's Drive-In of Happy Days (along with the Pig n Whistle on Capitol Drive). The writers used to hang out there. So did I.

Sorry to say: it's a Burger King.
