According to Wikipedia, badgers "are capable of fighting off much larger animals such as wolves and bears."

So the Beavers will be no match for the mighty Badgers.

In 2007 suggestions that British forces released man-eating badgers near Basra, Iraq, to kill terrorists were refuted

Wisconsin used to be home to a now-extinct species of giant beaver (up to 8 feet long). They were probably killed off early in the Holocene when the first humans arrived from Siberia.

On the other hand, if you go back 130 million years, you had this:

Prehistoric badger had dinosaurs for breakfast

Unfortunately, if you're imagining a 200-foot tall badger devouring T.rexes, the story turns out to be rather less exciting than the headline implies.

Beavers are all very well and good, but can they do this?

The Badgers are the Cupcake Kings. Beavers have played hardest schedule among all major conference teams.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142 ... 42300.html

"Since the Wisconsin run began Sept. 20, 2003, the combined record of their nonconference opponents (excluding non-major-college ones) is 87-190 (.314)—the lowest of any school in the six major conferences. Of Wisconsin's 29 victims, 13 either were non-Football Bowl Subdivision schools or teams that went on to lose double-digit games."

Alvarez has been feeding us crap opponents.

The mighty Beavers get revenge with a 10-7 win this year! Wow the Badgers look bad. N. Iowa may be the only team they beat. No rose bowl this year.
