Formula 1 racing fans in Madison?

Postby mercury_marine » Mon Mar 21, 2011 10:57 pm

Do any regular watchers of Formula 1 racing get together to watch races? I assume SOME sympathetic bar and grill owner is open at crazy early morning hours for the live feed on SPEED TV. Downtown location would be a plus. I don't have cable obviously. Will any of this season's F1 races be streamed or otherwise available online?

This weekend's race is Sun Mar 27 @ 12:30am CST, on SPEED TV.

I'm not an avid fan but I do love watching F1 racing when I can catch it. I'll usually DVR it but if one can't DVR, try bit-torrent. It will be a day or so late but at least you'll have the opportunity to watch it.

No there are no Formula 1 racing fans in Madison. It's a waste of gas.

Used to be, back in the day. It was the only live sport on TV when I got up Sunday mornings with our infant son. Mind you, this was back in the days when Michael Schumacher was still driving for Benneton, banging wheels with Damon Hill.

Now, I try to catch all the Indy Car races, NASCAR when it is on a road course or at Bristol, and any F1 races that I happen across. Ironic that these days, formula cars put on a better show on ovals, while Stock cars are the better show on road courses.
