Hard to name just one, so here are what I'd say are my top five, in no particular order:

1) The Deer Hunter

2) Breakfast At Tiffany's

3) Requiem For A Dream

4) Schindler's List

5) The Baader-Meinhoff Complex

(I'm planning to see Black Swan this weekend and, from what I've read about it, I will probably be adding that to the above list. We'll see.)

I guess I couldn't really choose a "favorite movie" but I could easily tell you which movie I've seen the most times in my life. Though I'm not sure how many times that is, "Stand by Me" got a ridiculous number of views while I was in high school. Sometimes I'd sit and watch it twice in a row.

As for "if you haven't seen this, you should" movies, I think I'd put Spielberg's epic "Band of Brothers" at the top of that list.

Hard to pick one favorite -- depends what mood I'm in, and on how you want to define favorite.

"A Fish Called Wanda" would probably be at or near the top.

"An American President" with Annette Benning and Michael Douglas.

Another good one is "Shining Through" with Melanie Griffith and Michael Douglas.

They're in categories. I have movies I really liked, like Fisher King and King of Hearts, that I've tried to watch again and didn't finish.

And there's the ones like Big Lebowski, Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, and the first Star Wars, that I've lost count of the times I've viewed 'em.

But I think based solely on number of times, it's Princess Bride. Mostly because of all the times I've watched it with kids. It's a great one for a children's version of MST3K.

It also makes me think about how many Rob Riener movies I like. Stand By Me is another one I'll watch any time. "Chopper, sic balls."
