Logan's Extensive Beer Selection

Postby green union terrace chair » Thu Mar 25, 2010 11:33 am

Finally, a place with Bud Light, Coors Light and Miller Light all on tap! What a brave and bold selection!

Now if only they'd add Keystone Light and Natty Light.

Walk on down to Brickhouse BBQ for a pretty impressive tap selection of Midwest microbrews...all the fun without the beer snobbery of the trendy "gastropub"...I really hate that word!

I prefer the old school "tasty tavern" term myself.

Heh - I knew it was just a matter of time before Bookpolice showed up to defend the honor of the word "gastropub".

Did I defend? You sure?

I just think it's silly to get worked up over a word--a label. Judge the content, as Dr. King once said about something much more important.

That's right.

To this day Stokely Carmichael still must concede that it's a flavor mint, goddamn it.

I also consider the words of Dr. King when selecting a beer - "Never succumb to the temptation of bitterness. "

I don't always take the advice, but I sure do think about it.

Me too! "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that." Application: never session porters without the occasional IPA to cleanse the palate.

Given the beer selection at Logan's, I regret to inform you that it is well nigh impossible to do either of those things there.

Any Schlitz on tap? If I'm going cheap I can get down with that.

I'll second the Schlitz because as Mohandas Ghandi said, "All the religions of the world, while they may differ in other respects, unitedly proclaim that nothing lives in this world but Truth"....and truth is, Schlitz ain't bad.

I like a nice fruit lambic because, as Groucho Marx said, "Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana."
