She was one helluva nice lady.

Digibot played our first-ever show at the Mango, I think with Johnny Rocker & The Midwest All Stars (?).

other Mangoness:

After an Opening Band gig, our guitarist had his amp head stolen as it was being used to prop open a door. A week later we made a trip to the dorms and got it back.

The Opening Band wrote an ode called "Going To The Mango".

Digibot improv'd a stomp song called "Mashed Potato".

I smashed my bass near the end of a show there. Girlfriend(s) drama.

I'm pretty sure this is Kathy Griswold's current web page.

Thanks, snoqueen!

I hope Kathy is still cooking in some capacity.

The Dangle!

I'd like to see a big flowchart of the bars that were and their transitions into the bars that are. It would be like the pedigrees of great (and not-so-great) racehorses.

The Dangle eventually became The Casbah and whatever it is now....or is it still The Casbah?

Among my friends, the Stone Hearth was everybody's first bar as an underager. We had the most ridiculous fake IDs. An East High student ID, cracked open with a birth date added and taped shut. The bouncers just shook their head and motioned you in. That was also the time of picture-less drivers licenses so you were supposed to bring something with a picture as well. My friend, who was actually of age then (18) walked in with his drivers license and our high school yearbook. Good times.
