Worried about El Pescador

Postby morriskatze » Sun Jan 17, 2010 11:27 am

My husband and I tried to eat there on a Friday about 2 weeks ago but they were closed. There was no sign indicating a holiday vacation or anything like that, and we haven't been back by there to see if they're open again. Does anybody know what's up? Was it a fluke?

Shoot!! My husband really enjoyed their seafood, and I appreciated how accommodating they were when I wanted something vegetarian. Plus I like their veg fajitas the best - biggest variety of veg in town.

Well, here's some potentially good news.

I just walked past El Pescador, and sometime during the past few days, they've added some hand-written signs in the windows saying they're only closed temporarily while they remodel.

So, here's hoping they're back soon.

Is this the restaurant that is in the tiny strip mall on East Washington that also houses the People's Bakery? I don't get over to the East Side much but had put this place on my list of restaurants to visit based upon friends recommendations and I'm just wondering if it's the same place.

This is exactly how the former Las Palmas turned into El Pescador in the first place--"closed for renovation."

Hmmm......looks like they owe some people some money.

Not sure if that's why they're closed.

They officially have a for lease sign in the window. Damn, cause I really liked that place and I could walk there. Maybe the location is cursed.
