Worried about Sala Thai

Where are you eating and what do you think? What's opening, closing, succeeding, failing?

Worried about Sala Thai

Postby ubiquity » Tue Dec 22, 2009 5:27 am

Tried to give them a call a few weeks ago and got a message that they are closed until January due to a family emergency. I sure hope everything is okay and wish them well. It's one of the best joints in town with some of the nicest people working there.

Yeah, I actually randomly called earlier today to check on them, and had a nice chat with the owner, who informed me that her father had passed away and she went back home to deal with the loss, etc. Was glad to hear they're back and glad to express my condolences.

Glad to hear they're back in action. I think I'll give 'em some business tonight. When my son was sick recently, Sala's chicken satay was about the only solid food he'd eat. I feel I owe them a debt of gratitude.

I'm eager to support them, too, as a local business with great food and really friendly people running the place. I imagine it was a significant financial loss to them to be closed for a month and a half. Hope they will be okay.
