Why don't you track him down and ask him yourself? Reportedly, Hughes lives in Williams Bay, Wisconsin, near Lake Geneva.

Speaking of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, wanna buy a house?
And time has not been kind to Ed Rooney (YUCK)!

The agent's name on the listing is Meladee Hughes.
Almost certainly a coincidence, but a rather intriguing one.

Someone should buy the house and make it into a Ferris Bueller museum, a la Ralphie Parker's house.

It is a coincidence (most news reports have gone out of their way to say so), and the car room already is a bit of a public Bueller shrine (for it still being a private home). They also hold collector car club events there.
