City Brewery

Postby donges » Mon Jun 01, 2009 9:57 pm

Anyone know if there is a place in or around Madison that carries the City Brewery products, esp. LaCrosse Lager in cases of cans? Woodman's had it a couple years ago, but then stopped carrying it. And it sure beats most can cases for camping/canoe trip beverage selection.
Thanks for any scouting tips!

Why not buy Capital Amber in cans?

More than once, I saw a carton marked "Capital Amber," grabbed it, and was surprised to find cans. (Short memory, I guess.) I'm not used to good beer coming in cans, but this is an exception.

That is plan B (or maybe a case of each), but I had a hankerin' for the City lager. Strange that we are so close yet don't seem to have a source here.

Now that you mention it, I haven't seen City in a long time. I do remember hearing something about the Brewery selling the brands and distributorship a couple years back to focus on contract-brewing for Sam Adams and the like. Maybe that's why the City brands are M.I.A.

http://www.citybrewery.com/

I see nothing about them still brewing their own beer.
