Ok. Hold it.
Wait.
Back it up beep beep beep.
We have been through this before.
jjoyce: the free-range focus group keeps giving you the same answers every time.
Hmmmm...what to do, what to do....
Hey!
Perhaps it's time to resurrect the old carrousel idea for Peace Park...rather than being locked into just one columnist, one guest, one host...
Walter, Schick, ducatista, me, etc each get a steed, a weekly steed...a different person each week...so one week say, Chuck's horse swings close to camera---but wait.
He would probably have to be blurred, bleeped, and pixelated so let's say...okay:
This week at the carrousel lunch hour:
Ask A Cop
(sure Walter would refuse to do it so we'd have to find someone else) but would answer questions like:
"How many drums can be part of a drumset on State Street before it's illegal?";
and then next week Robbie Webber could slowly bounce up and down into view and... suggest everyone forget about the carrousel and bike around around the lake instead;
and then the following week, I don't know, we could Ask A Panhandler
"Just how much do you make a day, dude?"
or have a State Street Ambassador give a quick audio tour of his hectic laser-paced day on State Street....

Just brainbrewing....

Why are you all suggesting other Forons? They can and would answer your questions on any given day right here?

The idea is that I can wrangle people who don't normally have the time or patience to log on the site. But we can do it in a chat-type atmosphere with live give-and-take.

So, maybe politicians like Mayor Dave and Kathleen Falk? Or Tammy Baldwin, Sen. Feingold and Sen. Kohl.

Or people who could answer questions about the economy - business profs like Denis Collins, or maybe people who know about where there are jobs?

Stu Levitan about Bob Dylan or historic Madison.

Paul Soglin about Madison or whatever.

School board reps about the school budget. Or Dan Nerad.

Brenda Konkel about cuts to the non-profits.

People like Bob Queen about various music happenings.
