Big Love

How can cultural elitists like ourselves put TV in the Culture category? Well, where the hell else is it going to fit?

Anyone catch the secret Mormon decoder ring handshakes last night? Mormons be crazy. Hollis Green gives me nightmares.

I had no idea about those rituals. How wacky. I really am crazy about the show too. I wonder how long between seasons. I know, about Hollis. Could he even be any creepier?

That's the worst part. The season is over next week seems like it just got started. The writers strike was especially painful as well. Too much time between creepy polygamist shows. Hopefully it won't be more than a year before next season. Similar in structure did anyone watch The Riches? Is that ever coming back? The second season of that seemed like it was over before it started.

I'm just now finishing Season 2 and am looking forward to digging in to the new episodes. Cool show, though the histrionics at times make it seem like a fundamentalist-Mormon "Knott's Landing." Yours truly, Hollis Green.

Agreed. I watched the first season and part of the second, but after the initial fun of learning about the characters it seemed like the show never reached take off speed. Should I try picking up where I left off or does it stay in 2nd gear throughout?

I think you quit just when it was getting really really good. Some people just aren't into this show. Don't know why. I've been hooked since season 1.

Sorry, but if a flock of wealthy, dour, long-dressed, long-haired folks moved into our neighborhood it wouldn't take our nosier neighbors but 2 weeks to scoop their entire family history and invite them to take part in the neighborhood garage sale.
