Friend of mine prefers drinkie, as in, I got a little drinkie last night.

Anyone mention lit?

In his cups always reminds me of Gone With the Wind, where it's used of Scarlett's father, Gerald, at times.

And one of my grey-haired co-workers recently used zowie. I liked that a lot.

One of my favorites: Swerve on...as in I'm gonna get my swerve on.

Also:
Pickled
Butchered
Tore up
I have also been DOA- arrived at a party already inappropriately hammered.

When I'm at the Brink, I simply partake in social
lubrication.

When I rock out with my glock out at the HNS, somebody call the demo squad, cos I's a gettin' wrecked!

...Oh yea, I've never been to the Brink Lounge, but man would I class those bastard-ass bastards UP!

Did she use it in reference to getting stewed? I like that a lot, "he was pretty zowied last night".

I knew some folks waaay back that used 'hammered' a lot. and 'trashed' was commonly used. Not partial to 'em, myself.

I always liked

snookered

schnockered

ineberiated

blitzed and trashed have context. 'That guy was pretty blitzed.' As in, thank god I'm not that guy tomorrow morning. or now.

Yep! I believe he said, "He got a little zowie at last year's Christmas party and planted a big smooch on the bartender."

I love it when older people break out those obscure terms for drunk.

I tend to get shattered. Then I get to shout with my best pseudo-British rock star voice, "Shattered!" Lots.

When I'm feeling less than appropriate, I'd might also use the adjective "wet."

Lastly, my favorite...

I got loaded! (on a bottle of gin/whiskey/wine...)

Girl, you know it's true.

It's also one of the ways I like my 'browns at the Waffle House. Shattered, covered, and smothered.

... which is the kind of thing I want to snarf when I'm a little high. (As in, when your mouth's gettin' dry, you pretty high. One bourbon, one scotch, et al.)

Dammit. I love hash browns. How am I going to concentrate at work now?
