Just spoke with DPW Exec director Mike Murphy,
I'll be speaking right after lunch on Saturday.

Every so often an eccentric nut case or a porn star or some other weirdo will run for public office. Sometimes it can be mildly amusing but in your case, Ben, it is simply pathetic. Why don't you stop embarrassing yourself and wasting bandwidth and get some help for your personality disorder.

Ben, you seem intent on disrupting every Democratic event. You've got quite a history in that regard, yes? Also, you're not an especially dedicated Dem, give you support other parties' candidates at least as often.

So, if you're engaging in a stunt, why should they help you with it? That may be your thing, but it's not what they're up to.

I plan to skip it, anyway.

Well, good. I was pretty ambivalent about it, but if you're seriously giving the Dem Party a shot, then it's good news. As slots go, that's actually a decent one. It's not like you're scheduled during Herb's breakfast.

We may all have to give the DPW some credit here.

Yup. Joe takes responsibility for neglecting to inform the staff of the commitment he'd made, and, if I understand correctly, wasn't around when they drew up the published schedule.

If it took my generating a small blizzard of calls and emails from accross the country this morning to focus their attention, well, that's how democracy is supposed to work.
