Will Anyone Miss Humanity?

Postby Marvell » Wed Dec 10, 2003 10:09 pm

Just wondering.

I'm thinking that the hyper-intelligent cockroaches that inherit the degenerated biosphere once the mutated supergerms and industrial toxins have done for us all will at least have the advantage of never having heard a Jay Leno monologue.

But what if Leno is a hyper-intelligent cockroach?

It would explain a lot...

Barney always scared me. He was just a little too wide for that height. And that laugh. He so married up too.

Hell, I'll do Miss Humanity.
If she's half as good as Miss Congeniality, that's one fine piece of ass!

Well, it does make me think that since I was around while Humanity was being built, I wonder if we'll get another chance to invite taggers, artists and protestors to decorate the board that usually surrounds a work site like that. One of my old favorites was: "Due to lack of interest, tomorrow has been cancelled."

Maybe UW will declare the Humanities bldg, inside and out, a permission wall for taggers and graffiti artists. The whole thing should have been covered with ivy 25 years ago, but there's still time to do the job with spray paint.

Sooner or later the artists will just go ahead and paint it permission or not. If it's on the way out, what's the harm? I'd enjoy seeing the results.

Actually the humanities building is a decent example of why humanity is screwed. Paranoid building plan, unwilling to cooperate with others, function over form, reactionary planning, etc.
