Postby Scott Gordon » Tue Apr 02, 2013 9:29 am

Hi all, Isthmus freelancer Scott Gordon here. I also co-host a weekly arts and entertainment podcast called Arts Extract, and we're hosting a live event during the Wisconsin Film Festival. It will take place Tuesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at the University Bookstore-Hilldale (right across the hall from Sundance, where all the WFF screenings will be that day), and will feature a whole bunch of good stuff, namely:

A fim critics’ panel featuring Jessica Steinhoff of Isthmus, Rob Thomas of The Capital Times, and Sarah Bartash of

Loose, funny discussion of WFF selections with Madison-based comic and film buff Chris Lay and his comedy buddies.

Film-themed freestyles from Madison MC Rob Dz and friends.

A lesson on the history of “Dueling Banjos” from Jim Carrier, director of WFF ’13 documentary The Librarian And The Banjo.

It's free and all-ages, so come join us for the whole event or just drop in for a bit between screenings. For more info, go to the podcast's website at
