I'm glad I didn't let Kenneth's review throw me off. Sure I'd have changed some of the coincidences. I love old bars and characters. Crusty old bar owner, suffering fifth heart attack, meets young suicide survivor in hospital. Old man can't understand why young man wants to end it so soon, and it takes off from there. Brian Cox would make a wonderful Rumpole of the Bailey. Through their imperfections each character seems to be trying to help another. I enjoyed the grittiness of the whole thing and the movie's seriocomic nature. Good thing Sundance told me, it's there this week only!
