Anyone else see it this weekend?
Hugely entertaining, one of those big, sprawling, epic romances that runs the gamet from corny to fascinating. Kidman's acting really grated on me during the first 30 min or so...it was all wide-eyed disbelief or pursy little mouth puckers to register displeasure. Once she relaxed a bit, she was fine.
Jackman was hunkiness personified, especially sans shirt.
All in all, an enjoyable film, if not one to be thrown many awards.
(The theatre at Star Cinema was packed on Saturday afternoon, however...I was kind of surprised. Not sure if there was an empty seat in the house.)
