Nearly.

That summation also fits the movie. The MST take on it is priceless, however.

How about It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad etc. World

TheBookPolice wrote:My vote is South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut. Way to make your poster tagline part of your movie's official title. It screams "we didn't think we'd be controversial enough just naming it South Park: The Movie."

Well, they wanted to name it South Park: All Hell Breaks Loose, but the MPAA wouldn't let them use the word "hell" in the title.*

So they had to go with Bigger, Longer & Uncut.

*Or so say Parker and Stone. The MPAA says it was never submitted to them. I'm not sure who to believe on that one.

Now that you mention it, I do vaguely recall that brouhaha. And of course, you're right, SP:BLU was the only available recourse.

Wow.
I had almost started avthread for this last week.
And now I now why.
I don't understand MOST of the previous suggestions.
Dead and Loving It? Dumb and bad jus like its name.
Bigger Longer and Uncut? An exact description of cartoon movie and my penis.
Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad World doesn't come close to enough Mads to match the wonderful stars---and the title is the only reason I watced it.
Rat Fink A Boo Boo and Eegah both interest me and I have no idea what they are.
One Good Cop: is that the only one? Yep. Hello.
The Fish DID save Pittsburgh.

MY fave bad:
Tallegadouche Night, um, Tuulldiggs, um..ah fuck.
The race car driver movie with Wil Ferrell. I still can't remember the name.

--Don't try to be all titillating and crap: if there aren't demons in your ovie then don't call it Possessed.
And finally: I will always HATE that New Age bytch ( I can't rmember her name) from that awful group
10, 000 Maniacs for forever wrecking that title (not such a good movie to begin with but a worse group) and for being a bullshit sappy tepid band.

i almost didn't see it cuz i figured how clever of a thriller could it be if they couldn't come up with anything other than the lead character's name.

but it was good.

Ditto for Elmer Gantry.

Talladega is the name of a track, hence the name. Dumb movie, title makes sense. This thread is stupid.

Any movie title that used to be the name of a TV show or a skit on Saturday Night Live. Guaranteed stinkeroony.

The TV movie Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? comes to mind as one of the stupidest titles ever.

Additionally:
To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar
SuperBabies: Baby Geniuses 2
Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood
The Divine Secrets of Ya Ya Sisterhood
Leonard, Part 6
Gigli
Stop or My Mom Will Shoot
3 Men and a Little Lady

On the other hand, they provide excellent fodder for porn names e.g. Shaving Ryan's Privates.

Ah yes: Saving Private Ryan

Maybe, in order to make things standard, we could have all movies be named with a gerund and a proper noun following:

Heck, the Star Wars movies:

I: Fondling JarJar
II: Developing Clones
III: Burning Anakin
IV: Blowing Up the Death Star
V: Meeting the Emperor
VI: Returning of the Jedi

Fargo could be: Chopping Up the Funny-Looking Guy

So many! So little time.
