Everything's Gone Green

I would bet that this movie would be back in Madison in the next few months.

It had a very light storyline, very likeable and photogenic characters, and typical non-invasive camera work and directing. The soundtrack was as stated; hip, indi-Canadian.

The movie did a decent job in conveying the post-college/broaching 30s struggles without cliche hangovers. But, sometimes the dialogue was trying to convey the same thought in the quirkiest sense possible. I also lost track of the timeline (main character was with his girlfriend for a day or weeks or months wasn't known).

Overall, a non-offending film that could have left out one or two quirky characters and situations for other movies that could have branched off this one. It was like a Sixteen Candles in an adult world - I'm being serious! I liked it.

Did anyone catch the line about the "three Heathers" when the Moo Dairy guy was scoping out the women below their vantage point? I think I was the only one that laughed.

I see that now! I just might see it again and take a few friends who were unable to catch it as the "sneak peek."

I thought there was a documentary at last year's festival that hit PBS or DVD before it was shown at the fest? Maybe Darwin's Nightmare? Oh well, hazard of programming the fest. Sometimes a movie just looks completely different on the big screen and makes it worth seeing in the theater.
