Prof. Wagstaff wrote:Two fraternity boys want to make lawsuit against "Borat" over their drunken appearance in the hit movie.

The legal action filed Thursday on their behalf claims they were duped into appearing in the spoof documentary "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan," in which they made racist and sexist comments on camera.

The young men "engaged in behavior that they otherwise would not have engaged in," the lawsuit says.

Frat boys with an overly inflated sense of entitlement?

What is this world coming to?

It's "Melvins Gibsons". This is a Borat thread.

Ah, the old Mel Gibson defense.

Yeah, but this is different, see, 'cuz Gibson chose to get drunk all by himself. These frat boys were forced to get drunk by the evil film producers who then put words in their mouth and made them look bad. And everybody knows that frat boys only get drunk and say dumb shit through coercive techniques!

My favorite of their (lame, lame) excuses is that they were told the film was only going to be seen outside the U.S. They only wanted foreigners to hear them make sexist, racist, ugly remarks, doncha know.

In his defense, Borat later mentioned that he had trouble getting the film released because of all the derogatory references to Jews. Eventually, though, the Kazakh Ministry of Education deemed it had enough anti-semitic content to be released.

He hopes to compete for the Oscar for "best anti-Jewish film", knowing full well he'll face fierce competition from "your Melvin Gibson".

Wrestling scene

My friend I went to see Borat last night and all we could think of after the wrestling scene was "how do you wash your eyeballs?" and that we really needed to see some pretty lesbian porn to cleanse our minds of the mental image that had been burned in.

At least the BWP was able to produce the illusion of truth.

I just watched this Borat crap on HBO. First time.

Unseen, I'd placed this effort along the same lines of The Tom Green Show. Another "comedic" effort that I could rarely get my arms around. Borat lived up to my low expectations.

Since it's release, I've heard about the people in the movie being "duped" into appearing on this movie. With the exception of a few one-on-one interviews, everything else in this movie seems to be a bunch of contrived crap.

Even as fiction, this movie is unfunny.

I saw it first time a couple weeks ago. I was expecting it to be funnier from what I heard. There were parts that were hilarious, but not as funny as I expected. But as far as comedies go, it's not bad.

Actually, the only illusion created related to this film was by the outstanding marketing group, which created the illusion that The Blair Witch Project was a film worth seeing. 85 minutes of annoyance followed by a three-second payoff. Come to think of it, that sounds like some of my better dates back when I was single. . . .

Haven't seen it, and have no plans to do so in the near future.

Junebug was painful. Painful. I thought that was supposed to be a good movie too.

I just found out what is more painful than watching Junebug.

Being too lazy to get up and go switch off the tv in the other room after Family Guy finished. I've had "Worlds Next Top Model' blabbing on and on for the last 14 minutes. I doubt there are more than 17 brain cells between all of them.

Someone shoot me!

Isn't that a Jane Fonda bad movie title?
