Lost Computer Password

Postby Bwis53 » Thu Mar 23, 2017 8:35 pm

I've got a Mac and don't own the problem. My elderly friend does. He's got a PC. (and a smart phone). He accidentally trashed his password, while house cleaning. Should I just tell him to go on YouTube for "lost my password" ?

7 Ways To Find Lost Windows Passwords

I have a software I downloaded online that worked on my old windows XP. It should be easier now with Windows 7 and above.

There are many free tools for password reset, like Ophcrack, UUkeys or NT Password.

I password online activities, but nothing local. My local wireless network, while wide open, is MAC Address limited. So unless you can guess a MAC# of one of my allowed systems, you cannot get close.
