AT&T billing gripe

Postby Galoot » Thu Jan 13, 2011 3:20 pm

Anyone else use AT&T for both long distance, and local/DSL? I can pay one bill, the local/DSL one, using online billing. The other one, I apparently cannot.

I have threatened to cancel my accounts with them unless they can sort this out, and they seem to be completely incapable of combining local and long distance into one bill. Sure, I know that the Ma Bell breakup means that other companies get to compete for the various services, but I'm fairly sure there is nothing in the law that prevents AT&T from just sending me one bill, so that I can set up online bill payment for that.

Any suggestions?

I have AT&T for internet, landline, and long distance. Everything is on one bill and it's all paperless. It's also on auto-pay. I rarely use the long distance. We have cell phones and I have a MagicJack for when we do long distance.

Why are you so frustrated over it? Have you tried a MagicJack or some other web-enabled long distance provider?

That's weird, I've always had it on one bill and one payment.

Tell us about MagicJack. (I know I'm setting myself up here but...)

Wasn't he the guy in The Shining by Stephen King?
