I take my technology out in public all the time. Hell, I practically live in coffee shops with my laptop and cell phone. However, there are plenty of other people there with cooler, newer, sexier, more desirable technology.
The real moral of this story is that periphery malls are unsafe. I'll stick to the downtown, where the suburbanites fear to tread, and you only get your shit stolen if you leave it laying around unattended (like so many students do.)
Wiis, PlayStations, iPads, blogging platforms, Facebook and anything else worthy of buzz in the digital world.

Concealed curry would be an even more effective deterrent. The prospect of smelling like a bad Odana Road restaurant would strike fear in any criminals heart.
