Mystery solved re: my bad audio on Charter HD. Turns out that Charter supplied me with 3 bad cable box/DVRs in a row. What are the odds of that? The 4th one was the charm. No more annoying snaps, crackles and pops or complete audio drop outs.

Our channel guide just went out. Last time this happened it was about 3 months and 6 trips out to the house and lots of yelling and screaming. Not doing that again. But no channel guide means no DVR. Moving in a month so not worth the hassle. Also On Demand hasn't worked in like 4 months.
