Very soon, my friend. Very soon.

You're going dow-in!

For those interested, I got my ASS handed to me on a tee.

Final Tournament Score:
Schick 5, Wagstaff 2
(Score of last game: 66 to 33!!!)

So I'm back in training and next time, Chuck is going dow-in!!! Hard!

Sadly, Kyle, my River Raid is kaput :(

I'm sure I'll find a new copy soon ...

And the 5200 can suck my ass.

It sucks about RIVER RAID. That was my favorite too.

However, I just learned that I freakin' rule at FAST EDDIE, so I may have a new favorite.

Wags, do you have Maze Craze? It does this flashing thing (the Random Maze Generator) that has probably caused seizures.

How 'bout Freeway? Its like Frogger, but with a chicken.

Nope. It was in my box but is also currently not working.
(Other casualties of being dormant in an oversized box were Megamania, Barnstorming, The Adventures of Tron and Venture.)

Kyle Motor wrote:How 'bout Freeway?

Yep. The wife and I had a little Freeway competition just last night.
I kicked her ass, of course.
She refuses to believe me that boys are better at Atari than girls.*

*Of course, she kicked my ass at Frog and Flies - and I can't play Fast Eddie to save my life, but by typing that information in this little tiny font, it somehow doesn't disprove my obviously bogus assertion.

FROGS'N'FLIES!!! I forgot about that one, I've still got that one too. Great game.

A girl ended my undefeated streak of Activision Ice Hockey. I didn't like her after that.

You gotta get a working copy of Barnstorming, that one is fun. Also Stampede was pretty cool. Activision games kicked ass. Fishing Derby.

Kool-Aid Man was awesome. Actually, I don't really know why I played it, for some reason it was quirky fun.

I forgot about that one too! I have that one as well. Amazing game. I love it when he busts through the wall at the beginning.

Anyone around here have a Colecovision?

If I remember right they had shitty controllers that didn't "stop" when centered, so you were in a state of perpetual motion.

Yes, and the Atari 2600 controllers plug in & work for most of the games on it.

Does anyone know how to get a 2600 working with modern TV jacks? I have never been able to get mine to work with my TV.

Sounds like a jerb for Radio Shack Man!
I'm pretty sure you need an RF convertor.

You may not even need that much. Mine works with a simple RCA female to Coax adapter. No RF box needed. But then you have to connect/disconnect it everytime you use it.

Yeah - just get an RF converter at The Shack.
Come over and I'll show ya.

Strangely, there's a whole crew of geeks out there who routinely make new games.
Here's but a sampling.
(Lord of the Rings, anyone?)
