n****r is a pipe bomb of a word which gets my vote hands down -- i doubt it could ever be reclaimed or rehabilitated, even with the heroic efforts of various folks in the rap world and elsewhere . . . neutralising it would be quite the coup, but i doubt it will ever happen . . .

c**t is one of the more explosive and brisant of the slurs out there too -- the above goes for that as well, and i have never known of any attempt to "own" or reclaim it . . . maybe because it is a medical term turned pejorative like "idiot" i suppose . . . no way to mansplain this or whatever -- it is just nasty nasty nasty and is to be eschewed, even in breathless technical discussions in a dark room . . . b t w , the current consensus english medical term for this is "tittery-whoppet" . . .
