Pam Tausher columns

Postby Coplay » Sat Aug 03, 2013 8:05 am

I'm guessing that absolutely no one ever reads the "Friends" section of the WSJ. However, you all must check out the Pam Tausher column for the gooiest, most cringe worthy slice of hilarity. Super Mom Pam blathers on and on and on about her precious spawns to a degree that makes you roar with laughter. Her kids must want to kill her after having to endure her insufferable bleatings. At my workplace we read her column out loud as entertainment.

Check it out.

I would not be surprised if Pam starts every real-life conversation with "As a mom,..."

I'm tired of seeing her Mom's Minute pieces on Ch15. I've seen every single one at least five times. Time to can it or put on something new.

Oh no, you mean she has a TV spot too?

I'm not sure what a "TV spot" means these days, but I gather this is a person who used to be featured on a local (airwaves) TV show in Dane County, Wisconsin.

Reading what? When's the last time you googled "WSJ?"

Alternatively, you could change the channel or even turn off the TV completely.

I don't watch 15 much, or the columns on WSJ. I remember watching her anchor the news.

But now that I'm searching on the right spelling I came across this little gem.

Good lord. She's so cute. Anyone who would hate on this woman must be one of the lowest forms of life. And bad. Very, very bad.

And don't forget, Pam "just LOVES Stanton Optical!" She's built quite a cottage industry on her name recognition. I think it's just fine for her, and this is the new entrepreneurship economy.

Madison magazine (if it weren't owned by Channel 3) could do an interesting piece on former TV news people who found safe berths in private industry and government. Mark Lovicott is now the spokesman for the UW Police, Joel DeSpain for the Madison Police, Rick Fetherston for American Family, and I think all the local hospitals all have former TV news faces in their PR operations, to name just a few.

Hee hee hee.

It's Local Icons, not former TV news people, but she's in there along with other names I recall.

Have not read any of her columns – prefer to remember her as she was when she first started anchoring on 15, big crush on her back then, still do actually – think it’s because she reminds me of Jane Pauley.

Be careful of what you say about Pam. Her cousin is a lot bigger than you.

As I started watching Brokaw's introduction, I braced myself for a vintage condescending, leering comment on Pauley's appearance. After a few moments, it seemed like there miraculously wasn't going to be one. Then: "And, just incidentally..." Cringe.
