I'm using a .5 tip. I actual like the fatter barrel and the rubber grip at the tip of the pen.

I could maybe get over the bloated barrel if the delivery were smooth, but it's superscratchy compared to the Cello. (Which also has a rubber grip at the tip—I'm with you there.)

The superglide is a ball point correct? I more of a gel ink fan so I might have to try their line of those.

Yup, it's a ball point. I don't care what kind of ink I'm using, as long as it's smoooooooth. At least I don't think I care. What do you like about gel?

I just did a smear test, Energel vs. Superglide, and neither smears immediately after writing, even on super-smooth paper.

I'm usually annoyed by the smooth/fine tradeoff—the thinner the line, the scratchier the writing. The Cello, though, requires so little pressure to write that I can get a nice, fine line even with the 1.0 tip, and if I want to go all emphatic, I can get a bolder stroke by pressing harder. If they ever stop carrying them on Amazon I'll be a sad writer.

Damn. This topic is an EXCELLENT procrastination enabler.

I feel like I get a deeper more consistent black line. Maybe I haven't found the right ballpoint for this.

Just went to the UW bookstore and they don't carry Cello brand.

Nobody does. You have to get 'em on Amazon.

Forgot about this thread til just now when my first Cello just ended. I actually had a brief moment of anxiety trying to remember where the other ones were.

If you have a moment of anxiety when a pen runs out... then that's a good fucking pen.

I'm off to Amazon again to stock up.

Thanks Duc!

Anyone else find themselves up all night on Sundays finishing work they should have done last week... especially during summer?

Love that!

(And yes, I occasionally suffer from Summer Sunday Syndrome.)
