Does anyone here have a home with asbestos siding and if yes, who is your homeowners insurance through?

Thanks Jhain. I found someone. I posted this in desperation because I close on a house tomorrow and my insurance co. turned me down because of the siding. Of course I waited to the last minute because I didn't forsee any problem. My own fault.

They wouldn't have insured me if I had knob/tube wiring either. Three quarters of the places I work on have old wiring and I see an awful lot of asbestos siding too. I guess state farm doesn't insure too many houses on the isthmus.

Glad to hear that you got it worked out. We had our insurance cancelled (I forget the company) a few days before we to close on the house because it was too small.

Did they give you a reason why "too small" is uninsurable?
