Seems not everyone is so enamored of this guy:

Yes, meditation can be beneficial for your mind, your body and the relationship between the two. Yes, studying the nature of mind can have positive results for one’s self and the people one directly influences.

But these facts and practices, when coming from the likes of Ole Nydahl and his Diamond Way sect, are impossible to unwrap from institutional religion and the dangers of committing one’s self within its framework.

It will be interesting to see what kind of hard selling goes on at this thing.

Why are we nicer and more respectful to Buddhists than we are to Raelians?

I don't really have a position on Lama Ole Nydahl. Apparently, there are some simmering controversies surrounding him.

Maybe he should change his name to 'Lama Lame-Ola.'

Did he do an encore set or did he just leave the audience standing, clapping, stomping their feet and wanting for more?

Not sure as I left at 10:30 just as he was about to lead a meditation.

Madelyn, you still out there?

I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the night.

He sure slammed Islam didn't he?

How about that awkward moment when he giggled about "deadbeat dads" and how it seemed that half the black families in the country had them?

Or so he had read.
