IT'S TIME FOR A CATCHY FORON SLOGAN!!!

Postby blunt » Tue Oct 16, 2007 12:45 pm

In the beginning, there was no word.
Not knowing what to call each other, no one ever called.
Then one day, the design firm of blunt and nevermore helped create a creative volcano that erupted, flowed, cooled, and hardened into our final and democratically chosen handle:
Forons.
(Another newspaper's soon thereafter formed their own site--madison.com-- and, ignoring my suggestion they call thesmelves commies, decided on forons, sounding very much like the parasitic bloodsuckers they are.)
In order to keep staying incredibly ahead of them, and because it just feels right, it's time for all Forons to help choose a CATCHY SLOGAN.
We need one for our letterhead (so much correspondence from other forums wishing they were more like us), watermarks, TV ads, Tshirts, the thing cool kids say at school, etc.
So post your best.
Then we'll vote on the ones we like, and narrow it all down to the winning winner.
My own humble offering for the New Foron Slogan:

All Foron And Foron For All!

I dunno, that's kind of, uh, French. This is Wisconsin. How about:

Foronward!

Yeah, that's feeling like a winner.

I was trying to make something Biblical work, in keeping with both blunt's original vibe in this thread, and my previous coinage of "foriginal sin."

But it was hard to work with "Foron so loved the world..." Just didn't fly.

Foronward! is working for me.

Yeah, I hate to declare my personal winner so soon, but when someone pulls together Foron, forward and onward in such a neat, catchy little package, they deserve to win something.

Heh, try googling "foronward", you'll find that it is a popular word in various Nigerian email scams...

I just googled "foron" and no TDP references until the second page. Most of the google hits weren't even in English. One that was concerned a very nasty computer virus.

Time to generate some clickthroughs.

Bruno did us all a solid in putting "foron" in the Urban Dictionary.

*Ahem*, you ain't starting this alternate history again, are you?

Anyway, my weak entry: "TDPF. The caliphate of foronofascism since 2000."
