Has anyone played the Rachel Ray drinking game?

shtoop is an abbreviation?

Not if I have anything to do with it.

Ok, then, F.U.

Notice that the Street sign for "Caddis Bend", a short road in fitchburg that takes you to the Great Dane, is helpfully shortened to a logical:

"CADDIS BND"

Thanks for saving the taxpayers that extra cut-vinyl letter.

I hate most "cute" abbreviations. Hubby for husband is particularly lame.

No too fond of fave for favorite, either.

The "cool" abbreviations for fast food:

Micky D's
KFC
TB (this one threw me for a loop, even though it has a more common menaing of tuberculosis)

My students who worked there didn't abbreviate Taco Bell. Instead they called it either Taco Smell or Toxic Hell.

I'm kind of fond of this one: RB's.

We just call it Hell. Fondly, though.

In my hometown, Hal's Red Owl supermarket was variously known as the Dead Owl, Hal's Red Eye, or the Dirty Bird. It was a pretty grubby store, but they redeemed themselves by selling 6-packs of Old Mil for a buck fifty five.

Addy, for address.

Is it really that hard to type or write three additional letters?

Yes: it is two abrev.s combined.
Stew + soup.
The extra shh sound I think is simply a natural cuteness secretion emanating from Rachel.
She can't help it.
And that continues to ratchet up the annoyance factor even further.

Someone better warn a sister that that word does not mean what she thinks it means.
