Hmmm, my all time favorite had a moustache, most of the time. But then again he was exceptional and fastideous.

Afterall, there's plenty of cleanshaven slobs.

It will attract women who love money. Jokes on them....I don't have any.

This sounds like a potential hit reality TV show for NBC.

You know, I made that joke way the hell at the top of this thread, and got ZERO props. I thought it was damn funny.

Well, Buckyor didn't get any props either, I don't think many people know what "beard" means in the context you two are joking about.

It's all about the delivery. And the photo of Ms. Cruz.

But yeah, I didn't get all kinds of props either. And now I have all these damn Scientologists sending me nasty emails.

Hey ms4denmark!

Does the Neutrogena stuff have a heavy scent?

Steadman was buying me Mary Kay shaving cream that worked well and was relatively scent free, but they changed the fucking formula or something, so I tried using the Gillette gel that came with my new Fusion, and while me likey the Fusion, me hatey the gel and its god awful scent that stays with me the entire doo-dah day.

I know I post a lot of asinine shit here, but I'm serious on this one. Thanks in advance for the help.

TheBookPolice and buckyor both masterfully played with the beard.

Try googling Unscented Shave Cream. You'll get a list.

Bam!

And really, Hank, I think I have to agree with you. I've seen a number of beard jokes fall by the wayside lately. Sad that it's a term losing its cachet. It's really quite subtle and witty.

Indeed.

But heck - don't take my word on it; let's ask Geoffrey Chaucer!

The night was as dark as pitch, or as coal,
And out the window she stuck her hole,
And Absolon it befell no better or worse,
But with his mouth he kissed her naked arse,
Savoring it before he knew what it was.
Back he jumped and thought it was strange,
For well he knew a woman has no beard.
He felt a thing all rough and long haired
And said, "Fie! Alas! what have I done?"

I'm a younger lady (under 30) and I feel ambivalent about guys with beards - some are attractive, some aren't. It becomes a dealbreaker though, if the bearded guy is into touching it. You know, the guys who stroke their facial hair while they talk. Casually playing with it as if to say, "Check this out, I'm gross!" Seems like a hygiene issue in those instances.

Chaucer has a way with tails.

From what I remember, no it was not a heavy scent at all. I'm currently using some other kind (can't remember right now) because for some reason, stupid Walgreen's didn't have my Neutrogena. btw, this one has a nasty musk smell to it. I feel so straight, kind of like a burly woodsman or lumberjack every time I shave....til I look at myself in the mirror and am like, "Goddammit, Gay Face, get over it!"

Yeah, because we all know people with beards never shower or wash their faces...

Filthy. Disgusting. Vermin!
Yep.
That's what we'd all look like if we stopped shaving and bathing and primping and let nature have it's bestial way with our bodies.
It is odd how facial hair goes in and out but mostly out of style and nudie girls have eschewed their beautifully organic mounds and landscape tiny little landing strips and Hitler moustaches.
Plus most of don't stink anymore.
So.
Is beard-hating merely self-loathing or evolution?
Are we attempting to regain youthful paradise by becoming hairless babes?

I don't know but I still think beards look bad and circumcision looks good.
