Reasonable pick. Dems will look like the spoiled children they are if they oppose.

Do you suppose Ned has ever kissed a human being?

A living one, I mean.

Don't know and don't care. However he sure put you in a butt-hurt mood.

Ads on now running on cable news channels supporting the nomination of Neil Gorsuch. Paid for by the conservative Judicial Crisis Network. It's an astroturf organization funded by the Koch brothers.

Senate goes nuclear.

In big win for Trump, Senate approves his conservative court pick
https://www.yahoo.com/news/senate-set-a ... 17025.html

"It was not easy. Senate Republicans resorted to extraordinary steps to overcome Democratic opposition to Gorsuch, including changing long-standing Senate rules to prohibit the use of a procedural blockade called a filibuster for Supreme Court nominees. The rule change was dubbed the "nuclear option" because it was considered an extreme break from Senate tradition."

RIP U.S. Senate, 1789-2017
This week has taught us Washington really is as broken and hopeless as we feared.

For fucks sake, can the ridiculously overblown term, as it relates to this story, "nuclear option", please be put to rest now?

Certain callow-minded people in power do not need their grasp of the seriousness of that term to be lessoned by flippant misuse.

Sorry, no. The country is still using it.

I think your frustration would be better spent on the fact that "begs the question" was changed to also mean "raises the question" in 1987. That was a travesty.

An illegitimate president installed an illegitimate justice.

I wonder if any of those "white working-class Trump voters" will ever realize just how much of their day-to-day misery is caused by corporate toadies like Gorsuch.
