I don't care, so I'm not clicking the link, but lemme guess: there's a quote in there wherein Trump claims he was "the best" baseball player and also really really good at all the other sports too. Nobody was better, and everybody says that.

I'm right, aren't I?

I don't know either but if he was scouted in high school, I think maybe he's backslid a little bit.

The mainstream media, and by that I mean the American press in particular, is ever aware of its own self-interest. It has commenced an unprecedented period of truth-telling.... about Trump's rather careless, highly disingenuous assault on the mainstream media. Several better than average articles and editorials ensue! And never mind CNN, MSNBC, ABC and their ilk - all designed for an audience of gnats.

What to do if the crowd boos you: threaten their jobs.

At that point, Trump seemed to realize that this crowd might not be as much on his side as he assumed:

“Would you like to make a change, folks?” Trump went on as people can be heard saying “yeah” in response. “Would you like to make a change?” he threatened. “Cause if anybody would like to make a change, you won’t be having so many jobs, that I can tell you.”

I'm Donald Trump. Kiss my ass and nobody gets hurt.

This is what it is to be Christian now. I haven't heard of any self proclaimed Christians denouncing it, maybe others have.
Speaking with televangelist Jim Bakker last week, “Christian leader” Mary Colbert explained that Donald Trump is part of God’s Master Plan and that anyone who opposes the President will be cursed.
And then, just for good measure, she extended the curse to the critics’ children and grandchildren.

The power of prayer. It's not just for football games any more.

Typical of the deranged left. Find an extreme example on the right, and attempt to paint an entire group with that belief.

Well, go ahead then. As a Christian, denounce it. I'm not a Christian so it wouldn't be truthful for me.

Is what she's done a sin? Will it keep her from heaven?

I think I did denounce it. As for what is sin, that is for God to judge, not me.

You're a pretty good judge of everything else, seems like you'd be able to see a sin for what it is.

And no, you've called it an extreme example. That's not a denunciation.

Ok, I hereby denouce it.

Sorry you are so upset about my other opinions, that you now want to draw some fictitious parallel.

Great! Too bad it took so long for you to actually SAY that it's a bad thing. I just wanted to see if you'd do it.

Also, sorry you think the parallel is fictitious.

Don't split hairs. Roy denounced it.

There is a tendency for people on both the left and the right to find a nut job on the other side and say "This is what that side is like!"

I think Roy might've been guilty of that once or twice. Not sure, but be careful before casting stones.

As for me, if anyone thinks I am typical of what so-called Liberals are like these days, they have more problems than I can fix.

Personally, in my own humble opinion, and these are my own thoughts, not anyone else's, and this is not saying YOU or anyone else thinks this way, I think it is indicative of an entire demographic that someone of some standing in their particular community, can publicly announce this wish upon another demographic:
you are bringing upon you and your children and your children’s children curses like you have never seen.

Eyeah. I'm not painting the Christian right in any other light but the one they've put themselves in.
Bakker agreed, declaring that “God has chosen” Trump.

And the only Christian denouncing that is Good Ol Roy here, AFTER I asked him to do it. Not before. He wasn't even bothered by it till somebody else pointed it out, which means all the other Chistians, Bakker's entire audience, thinks that was just a fine thing to say.

THAT is a stone I wish to cast. They don't give a shit if another Christian curses anybody. They believe in the power of their deity, so it's not like they're saying this is just bullshit.

They are fine with one of their own - a high ranking Christian - using their god's power to hurt generations of people who's ancestor thought the wrong things. And another higher ranking Christian agreeing with her, which means he just told his congregation to curse a group of people and their children and their children's children.

I think that tells us what the Christian right is now. I don't think it's an isolated incident, this is what a whole lot of them are thinking. I will admit it's not all Christians, but enough to say this is how a very, very large group thinks.
