PC:I cast fireball! It'll be huge, biggest ever!
DM:You're 1st lvl you can't cast fireball.
PC:I never said I was casting fireball.#GOPDnD

Party: We want to buy healing potions.
GM: Okay, 50g for men, 150g for women.
Party: ?
GM: Women need a scroll from their cleric.
#GOPdnd

GOP: I cast Repeal at ACA.
DM: For the 50th time, you have to wait until the barrier falls.
*barrier falls*
GOP: I forfeit my turn.#GOPDnD

DM: The party is on fire
GOP: I pour oil on us
DM: 18 dmg
GOP: More oil
DM: 24 dmg
All: Stop pouring oil!
GOP: Prove oil causes fire#GOPDnD

DM: You've finally found the dragon. What do you do?
GOP: I cast Win.

Roger Cohen in the NY Times describes Trump's meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel:

When Donald Trump met Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany earlier this month, he put on one of his most truculent and ignorant performances....

Trump’s preparedness was roughly that of a fourth grader....Trump knew nothing of the proposed European-American deal known as the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, little about Russian aggression in Ukraine or the Minsk agreements, and was so scatterbrained that German officials concluded that the president’s daughter Ivanka, who had no formal reason to be there, was the more prepared and helpful.

Merkel is not one to fuss. But Trump’s behavior appalled her entourage and reinforced a conclusion already reached about this presidency in several European capitals: It is possible to do business with Trump’s national security adviser, Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster, with Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, and with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, but these officials are flying blind because above them at the White House rages a whirlwind of incompetence and ignorance.

"a whirlwind of incompetence and ignorance".

That is how our closest allies now see our White House. God help America if there's any kind of serious crisis in the next four years.

Do Not F*ck with Sally Yates
It seems that the administration tried to block Ms. Yates from testifying to the House Intelligence Committee about what she knows concerning contact between departed White House National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and various Russian entities.

Ms. Yates, you will recall, was dismissed from her position as acting Attorney General for refusing to enforce the president*'s unconstitutional Muslim ban.

They told her she couldn't testify at the hearing because Presidential Privilege. Yates told 'em she was going to testify anyway.

So the panel chairman, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), just cancelled the hearing.

Yes, there's an investigation. But dammit there will be people testifying whose words we do not care to hear. Therefore although there is an investigation, we have decided not to investigate anything. Because fuck you, that's why.

The white house has stated“The White House has taken no action to prevent Sally Yates from testifying and the Department of Justice specifically told her that it would not stop her and to suggest otherwise is completely irresponsible,"

Oddly, I can't find any official reasons given for cancelling yesterday's hearing. Maybe one of our Trump apologists can come up with a link.

I have looked at the right-wingers comments on Yahoo for example, as to why the hearings had to be canceled.

Because of the Clinton emails and the Clinton foundation! That's why! We need to lock her up!!!!!!

As I have said many, many, many times, in the minds of Republicans, if a Democrat is accused of wrongdoing, it is a crime even if nothing illegal happened. If a Republican is accused, it is nothing, even if something illegal happened.

If that doesn't convince you,

Bengazhi!

So they've left it to their social media followers to come up with reasons? Absolutely nothing from the WH, not even something generic like "scheduling conflicts?"

Damn. Slick Willy's got nothing on this guy. You could dump a wagonload of horse manure on him and he'd come up smelling like a fresh tweet.

Little hands latest tweet.

President Trump again directed his weekly Saturday breakfast tweets at the media, this time chiding "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd for exploring potential Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

"When will Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd and @NBCNews start talking about the Obama SURVEILLANCE SCANDAL and stop with the Fake Trump/Russia story?" he tweeted.

Trump puts his son-in-law in charge of fixing everything. Kushner is Iraq today.

Where's the Sec. State? he was last seen blowing off NATO so he could hang with his Russian buddies.

While he has a lot of time for golf, Trump is breaking a presidential tradition and not throwing out the first pitch opening day. Maybe he is afraid of all the boos he would get.

Trevor on the Daily Show may have hit on the reason. He ran a clip on Trump throwing a ball and observed that Trump is the only guy he knows who looks like he's afraid of the ball even when he's the one throwing it.
