Newsflash: Supply-Side Economics Still Doesn't work

Postby fisticuffs » Tue Apr 02, 2013 12:16 pm

Wisconsin has dumped billions into corporate welfa.. I mean tax breaks and has fallen to 44th in the US for Job Creation.

2.1 Billion in corporate handou... er subsidies in NJ and the State's unemployment is at 9.3%

Walmart is posting record profits and has cut the workforce by 120,000 since 2008.

So why is it anyone would believe lowering corporate taxes is going to create jobs?

Demand creates jobs. Case closed.

And you suppose the unemployment rate has got nothing to do with businesses taking precautionary measures to avoid the cost of the ACA?

Or the fact that businesses that are expanding wouldn't waste their time on a state without right-to-work laws when there are perfectly good right-to-work states all over the country?

Perhaps you'd like to give us a chart of unemployment rates and per capita income in States with and without right to work legislation?

Don't tell me... show me.

Yup, it's never the corporations fault things suck. It's always other things and now that we have ACA, everything can get blamed on it. It's also the workers fault for wanting rights.

No comment on that Walmart article Bludge? I'm so glad we have cheerleaders for greedy, fuck faced corporations.

Can you explain why the implementation of ACA would make the economy so much worse in Wisconsin than in the rest of the country?

I think Bludgeon misspoke. It's the ACA that's keeping unemployment high nationwide. The Solidarity Singers are keeping unemployment high in Wisconsin.

Funny, healthcare costs seem to be paying dividends for Walmart's biggest competitor. Any comment, Bludgeon?
