Will Republicans vote for the "Obama Tax Cut"?

Postby fisticuffs » Fri Dec 28, 2012 8:39 am

They seem resigned to let us go over the cliff. Once that happens and the Bush tax cuts expire the president will offer the same extension that's been on the table for 3 years, lower rates on the first 250k of income. Seeing as how this will technically only be a cut in taxes will Republicans finally vote for it? Or will their obstruction of Obama prevent them from passing legislation even if it is in perfectly in line with their core platform? Is it at least a little ridiculous that the same bill on 12/31 is a tax increase and on 1/1 it's a tax cut?
