Wisconsin's April 3 GOP presidential primary

Postby Henry Vilas » Fri Mar 30, 2012 4:02 pm

I realize the upcoming recall elections have taken over Wisconsin politics, but I was wondering who the conservative leaning forons are backing in the presidential race. Pundits are saying it's do or die for Santorum. Romney is spending big bucks. Paul has some campus appeal, but the libertarian message only seems to attrack the hardcore few. And where is Gingrich?

I'm honestly interested in whom you support. But as there is no generic Republican candidate, an answer of "anyone but Obama" is just a cop out.

Santorum, to punish Romney for all these stupid robocalls.

As I said in the robocall thread, Obama is back IN PLAY.

I'll vote for Ron Paul in the primary.

Any non-Republicans planning to do a cross-party vote in the primary? I don't care if you do, I'm just curious.

Henry, were you at the Paul rally last night? I stayed for the first half.

I thought of crossing over, but the GOP doesn't need my help in mucking up their run to November. No matter who wins in Wisconsin, I see a brokered convention to choose their nominee. That should be fun.

As to your last question, I had absolutely no interest in going to the Paul rally.

I'm crossing over. No reason not to. Santorum gets my vote, just to keep the GOP exposing who they really are to the electorate for as long as possible.

MSNBC's The Ed Show will be cablecasting from the Great Dane (I assume the downtown location) Monday night. The media circus begins.

No GOP presidential candidate wants to be associated with Walker or the recall.
Where is the love?

In Wisconsin, Romney and Santorum give governor, and recall, a wide berth
