Nope, no "poal". At least, not in English. As my first grade teacher, Sister Ruth Angela (god rest her soul) used to say to us, "Just because everyone else does it wrong doesn't mean you have to".

Well... to be completely fair, pwned isn't in the dictionary either but most of know what it means.

Actually after I typed that I went out to the oxford online dictionary just to make sure it hadn't already made it in but it looks like it's still slang.

Is there some sort of slang etiquette where you're not supposed to just throw your slang from one forum into another forum's slang without asking first?

There's a difference between "slang" and simply not knowing how to spell :roll: and this wasn't slang.
