Monkey see monkey do

Postby doppel » Wed Feb 29, 2012 3:58 pm

Iowa House Democrats this morning left the Capitol in protest of two gun bills the Republican majority had planned to debate today. As of two o'clock, they were still--out to lunch?
I wonder where they learned this tactic? Is this where our "democracy" is headed? If I don't get my way I'm gonna' take my football and go home. I think it harms the Democrats, more than it helps them. What's your opinion?

Why did you put "democracy" in quotes?

Going to lunch is a "tactic?" Isn't that setting the bar rather low?

The first Republican president jumped out of a state house window to avoid a vote while serving in the Illinois Legislature. If he was still alive today, the present crop of conservatives in charge of the Republican Party would call Honest Abe a RINO.
