What's wrong with the GOP, anyway?

Races for the Senate, U.S. House, etc. and other issues of national importance.

Now, now.

We Republicans don't just hate Obama because he's black.

We hate him because he's both black and a Democrat!

We hate him because he's both black and a Democrat!

Even when he's implementing a Republican program. Point taken.

Charlie Crist: 'Intolerable' Racism Is A 'Big Reason' Why I Left The GOP

"I couldn't be consistent with myself, and my core beliefs, and stay with a party that was so unfriendly toward the African-American president. I'll just go there," Crist said, saying anti-Obama "activists" were "intolerable."

"I couldn't take it anymore," Crist added.

The former Florida governor also said Republicans have "gone over the cliff" with their anti-gay, anti-women, anti-education and anti-environment views.

Racism? what racism?
And in a surprising twist, the bill language specifies that only rural areas are to benefit in the future from funding requested by the administration this year to continue a modest summer demonstration program to help children from low-income households - both urban and rural - during those months when school meals are not available.

Charles Pierce wrote:"Rural areas only" is a phrase that you do not need the Enigma machine to decode.

A U.S. serviceman is freed after nearly five years of Taliban captivity. So what do GOP leaders in Congress have to say about it: Obama broke the law.

I'm very happy that we obtained his release. Do you believe that the GOP is wrong on the facts?

Yes, it was a technical violation of the law. But the same GOP leadership didn't worry about facts when they supported the Iraqi War.

The US is following the rule of law now? when did that start?

The Texas GOP "tears at the fabric of society."

According to an early look at the Texas Republican Party's first draft of their 2014 platform, it looks like the Texas GOP is seriously considering throwing its support behind the practice of what's commonly referred to as "ex-gay therapy." The Houston Chronicle obtained a copy of the draft on Wednesday ahead of Thursday's party conference, noting that the section expressing support for "therapy and treatment to patients who are seeking escape from the homosexual lifestyle" generated some opposition during Thursday morning's committee consideration of the document. Some, it seems, would prefer Texas's GOP return to its old stance on LGBT people: that the "practice of homosexuality tears at the fabric of society."

Ugg, in my home state, it is now illegal to sue oil & gas companies for wrecking the coastline. You know, the same decimated coastline which made NOLA more vulnerable to Katrina, and the rest of the state to Rita? Make Louisiana proud, Bobby, make Louisiana proud.

And this is legal how?

Puckett and the Virginia GOP should all be brought up on charges. No idea for what. Doesn't seem like the will of the people is being represented very well here.

Its like that cherished Republican hero, Malcolm the Tenth said: by any means necessary.

Where did these morans get the idea that being a minority, being gay, being the victim of the same morans constant ridicule an oppression was a "coveted" status? I guess these dopes aren't any more honest with themselves than they are the rest of the world...

Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) compares being gay with being an alcoholic.

I hope he tries running for president again as it will add more unintended humor to the Republican debates. There is always room for one more in the GOP clown car.
