How many Trump supporters will continue talking about the "assassination attempt" at Trump's rally yesterday despite the fact that the man who was violently attacked merely for carrying a sign was immediately released by authorities for the obvious reason that he had no such intention?

The crowd who attacked him yelled 'he has a gun'. He didn't.

But what if he did? Doesn't Trump support open carry?

After praising the President on the House floor for things like his “stamina,” and “conviction,” Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) criticized the press for, in his view, skipping over the Trump's positive attributes.

“No, the national liberal media won’t print that or air it or post it,” Smith said. “Better to get your news directly from the President. In fact, it might be the only way to get the unvarnished truth.”

(Sen Ron) Johnson is also calling on Democrats to help Republicans quickly confirm Trump's Cabinet appointees. Johnson asks Democrats to "give us a little hand here so this administration can actually get up and running and I think the roll out of these policies will be smoother."

I'm looking around for the author of this quote but coming up empty so far. So I'll just leave this here while I search.

The main contradiction of liberal democracy is that it has largely been shaped through a history of various forms of illegal civil disobedience against entrenched power structures. Such civil disobedience is (retrospectively) seen as justified, and the people committing it are (retrospectively) seen as heroes…but each successive generation is asked to believe that any further civil disobedience would be unreasonable.

I don't know of any instance when civil disobedience was popular at the time it happened.

Is it an even bigger crime you're within five hundred feet of a church?

He understands what those holocaust victims went through.

Tim Allen feels it’s so tough to be a conservative in Hollywood, it’s like living in Nazi Germany.

“You know, you get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody believes,” the comedian joked on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Friday. “This is like ’30s Germany.”

The internecine Republican war goes full tweet.

An aide to President Donald Trump called for Michigan Republican Rep. Justin Amash, a member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus and outspoken critic of the president, to be challenged and defeated in the 2018 congressional primary.

Dan Scavino Jr., White House director of social media and senior aide to Mr. Trump, labeled Amash a “big liability” in a tweet on Saturday, urging followers to “defeat him in primary."

@realDonaldTrump is bringing auto plants & jobs back to Michigan. @justinamash is a big liability.#TrumpTrain, defeat him in primary.

What you are totally ignoring is the "last year of a presidency" which eve Joe Biden agreed that no SC vacancy should be filled.
