It's a little more difficult when you don't shove the dissidents into fenced-off "Free Speech Zones" five miles away, isn't it?

Yes, the DNC convention was a free speech horror, wasn't it?

A thing to be ashamed of. Lotta that happened under the Bush administration, didn't it? But again, it's only a bad thing when the Dems do it, isn't it? And Obama gets no credit for not doing it here, does he?

Obama thought he was walking into a roomful of mellow fellow travelers. He and his handlers had no idea they would turn on him.

Fellow travelers? The guy isn't even very liberal. His 'fellow travelers' would probably be moderate republicans if they hadn't all been eaten by the far right cannibals dominating that party.

Fellow traveler is a term right out of Joe McCarthy's playbook. Ned wants to revive the Red Scare for nostalgia's sake.

Oh! The irony!

Presidential seal falls off podium as Obama speaks

WASHINGTON (AP) - The presidential seal has fallen off President Barack Obama's podium and clattered to the stage as Obama delivered a speech to a women's conference.

The president was joking with the audience and getting some laughs when he realized what happened. "All of you know who I am," he quipped.

Obama told the audience that somebody in the back was really nervous, referring to the staffer who hung the seal on the front of the lectern so precariously.

The seal fell about halfway through the president's remarks to Fortune magazine's "Most Powerful Women Summit" Tuesday at Carnegie Mellon Auditorium in Washington.

It's OK darlings. Let it all out. All the fear, the hate. Ned can take it. Problem is, it's going to get much, much worse in a month.

You're right. Several Republicans or Teabaggers will probably win Congressional seats.

Much, much worse is an understatement.

The Obama media continues to turn on its Frankenstein monster:

"...most politically engaged elites have reached the same conclusions: the White House is in over its head, isolated, insular, arrogant and clueless about how to get along with or persuade members of Congress, the media, the business community or working-class voters. This view is held by Fox News pundits, executives and anchors at the major old-media outlets, reporters who cover the White House, Democratic and Republican congressional leaders and governors, many Democratic business people and lawyers who raised big money for Obama in 2008, and even some members of the Administration just beyond the inner circle."

Interesting article, thanks for linking to it.

Time wrote:Most of Obama's private (and sometimes public) rebuttals to the voices slamming him on all sides are justified or spot on. He did inherit a lot of problems from the Bush Administration. He did act quickly in the initial weeks of his Administration to stave off a worldwide depression. His efforts at job creation have been obstructed by Republicans (even the proposals based on policies supported by the GOP in the past). His opponents haven't put forth specifics of their own, nor offered genuine compromise, while the media have allowed the right's activists and gabbers to run wild with criticism without furnishing legitimate alternative solutions.

That seems overly optimistic to me. If the the GOP does win lots of seats, I think they'll take that as a mandate to thwart and badger even more. Governing? thats for Nazi-socialist.

The Great Healer works on healing his internal hater. Don't be a hater Barry:

(Reuters) - President Barack Obama said on Monday he should not have used the word "enemies" to describe his political opponents as Republicans sought to make an issue of the comment a day before congressional elections.

Obama, in an interview with talk radio host Michael Baisden, said, "I probably should have used the word 'opponents' instead of enemies."

He was backtracking from a comment he made a week ago in an interview with Univision radio in which he sought to persuade Hispanics to vote for Democratic candidates instead of Republicans
