On a more serious level, Obama sounds--in theory--like he'd be an inspirational statesman in the mold of JFK. Though I firmly believe in the princple that any American is and should be qualified to serve as President, and that the average Green Bay Packer stockholder-plumber would make a better, wiser Preznit than most nominees (see, Bush, George W.)--Barack Obama's record of accomplishment is thin. Inspirational rhetoric--politico-speak doesn't pin down his actual politics sufficiently, nor has he been tested.

Further (worse), he suffers when you apply the John Kerry-Howard Dean electability test--from both ends. Does he have charisma? Yes, but it doesn't help him. He falls into Senatorial-speak like Kerry, and shares some of his nuanced thought-patterns and mannerisms, but doens't have his aristocratic pedigree. Worse, he can easily be tarred as extremist for his Dean-like positions and frankness, as well as his background.

For anyone who took the KerryDean "electability" wedge-meme seriously, the Meme Calliope of Wingnuttia is gearing up.

And for you health Nazis out there, Barack's a smoker. From the link:
Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama Sr. (black muslim) of Nyangoma-Kogelo, Siaya District, Kenya, and Ann Dunham of Wichita, Kansas(white atheist).

When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced and his father returned to Kenya. His mother married Lolo Soetoro -- a Muslim -- moving to Jakarta with Obama when he was six years old.

See?? Honolulu.

It gets worse.

Do you even know the first thing about Howard Dean?
