Fred Phelps - GOP Candidate for President in 2008

Postby Genie » Mon Jul 24, 2006 12:26 am

Fred Phelps announced his intention to run for President as a Republican candidate:

Controversial pastor Fred Phelps of Kansas is also reported to have announced on his radio show that he intends to seek the nomination. (Oddly enough, since Phelps's last few political runs have been for the Democratic Party. He sought the Democratic nomination for Governor of Kansas in 1990, 1994, and the last time in 1998.

Potential GOP Candidates in the 2008 Election

I think he fits in well with what the Republicans are doing - at least as far as their stand on Gay Rights.

Well, for once I agree with something Fred Phelps is doing! He should do a great, if unwitting, job of exposing Repubclian prejudice and hate!

Can't the Republicans come up with anyone better than the candidates listed? No wonder they are so scared of Hillary Clinton.

I'll bet they're not nearly as scared as I am.
